Kid group chats often begin in elementary school on watches, tablets and phones. In these group chats, kids are frequently exposed to online bullying, inappropriate content and are getting addicted to checking their devices constantly.  We created Sage Haven so kids can message with close friends and family in a safe way.

Sage Haven is safe messaging app designed for kids in their first few years of being online and comes with powerful parent safety and empowerment tools. Harmful messages, links, and pictures are blocked before they are sent. Kids are nudged towards kindness and best practices. Parents can supervise their kid's messages easily from their own phones with alerts and recaps and get insights that help them bond with their kid at every age.

For now, Sage Haven is free - except for a one-time $0.29 charge to ensure parents are verified. In the future, we will have free and premium experiences available to families. You can also rest assured that we will never sell or share your data.

Sage Haven currently works on iOS devices only including iPads, iPhones, and Apple Watches. We will be launching Android soon!

Parents download the Sage Haven app to their own phone and set up their family's account. Every kid account must be linked to a verified parent account for safety and security. After set-up, the parent will download the Sage Haven app on their kids devices where the kids can immediately begin messaging and calling only with approved friends and family.

Sage Haven gives your kid a free Sage Haven number so they can safely message and make voice calls with parent-approved friends and family — even if those contacts use iMessage, Google Messages, etc. Kids communicate through the Sage Haven app, while parents use their current messaging app. Parents use the Sage Haven parent app to supervise and approve Connections for their kids. This way, not everyone has to download Sage Haven for your family to get the full safety benefits.

No - you do not need a wireless plan. Your kid can message and voice call through the Sage Haven app using Wifi. Your kid will need a wireless plan if they want to use the Sage Haven app outside of Wifi - through the wireless carrier's cellular network.

If your kid has a wireless number already, that's great. They don’t lose that number but they won’t use it for messaging or calling. Now they will share and use their new Sage Haven number so that all messages and calls get sent through the Sage Haven app going forward.  Their wireless plan enables your kid to use Sage Haven app outside of Wifi - through the wireless carrier's cellular network.

You can also share their Sage Haven number with trusted friends and family. Parents will need to approve each Connection in the Parent Hub within the Sage Haven app before kids can message and call someone.

Safety and privacy of personal information is top priority for us. Kids are not searchable on the platform.

We collect the least amount of information needed for a good user experience and use best practices to keep the limited data we do store safe. We do not run ads or sell your personal information. We make it easy to delete your account and data history. We conduct Parent Verification on every parent through a payment card to ensure kids aren't setting up fake accounts and to ensure we are COPPA compliant.
