Kid group chats often begin in elementary school on watches, tablets and phones. In these group chats, kids are frequently exposed to online bullying, inappropriate content and are getting addicted to checking their devices constantly.  We created Sage Haven so kids can message and call close friends and family in a safe way.

Sage Haven is a safe messaging and voice calling app designed for kids in their first few years of being online. It comes with powerful parent safety and empowerment tools. Harmful messages, links, and pictures are blocked before they are sent. Kids are nudged towards kindness and best practices. Parents can supervise their kid's messages easily from their own phones with alerts and insightful recaps to make this manageable.

Sage Haven is a monthly subscription starting at $4.99/month/family. It's an ad-free experience that doesn't make more money through "engagement" or addictive design features. We feel this is a small price to pay for peace of mind and safety for your family. You can also rest assured that we will never sell or share your data.

Parents download the Sage Haven app to their own phone from the Apple App Store and follow the instructions to set up their kid. After set-up, the parent will download the Sage Haven app on their kids devices where the kids can immediately begin messaging and calling only with parent-approved friends and family members.

During set-up, we issue each kid a new, free Sage Haven number. It works like any other phone number. You'll share this number with trusted friends and family you want to message and call your kid. Now those friends and family can keep using their existing messaging apps like iMessage, Google Messages, etc but your kid will receive those messages and calls on the Sage Haven app. This way, if your kid uses Sage Haven, you get all of the benefits regardless of what other families use.

No - your kid does not need a wireless plan. Your kid can message and voice call through the Sage Haven app using Wifi and their Sage Haven number can be their first phone number. Your kid will only need a wireless plan if they want to use the Sage Haven app outside of Wifi - through the wireless carrier's cellular network - which is typically needed if they use a smartwatch or smartphone.

If your kid has a wireless number already, that's great. They don’t lose that number but they just won’t use it for messaging or calling. Now they will share and use their new Sage Haven number so that all messages and calls get sent through the Sage Haven app going forward.  Their wireless plan enables your kid to use Sage Haven app outside of Wifi - through the wireless carrier's cellular network.

Sage Haven is specifically designed for kid’s safety and well-being. Every kid account must be linked to a verified parent account. Parents approve who their kid can message with and easily supervise their kid's messages from their own phones with alerts and recaps for ease.

Sage Haven uses sophisticated AI moderation designed to block harmful messages, links, photos and videos before they are even sent and nudge kids towards best practices and kindness.

Sage Haven is also designed to be non-addictive with minimal notifications and a thoughtful UX that doesn't encourage excessive usage.

Your kid can message and voice call with parent-approved friends and family members using the Sage Haven app.

With Sage Haven, kids are issued a free Sage Haven number and can message and call approved contacts, regardless of what app those contacts use! This means they can stay in that group chat with kids on iMessage or Google Messages, and those messages will come into the Sage Haven app. It also means you can continue to use your existing messaging app and they will get your messages and calls on Sage Haven. Your family gets all the benefits regardless of what other families choose!

Safety and privacy of personal information are top priorities for us. Kids are not searchable on the platform, and we collect the least amount of information needed for a good user experience. We use best practices to keep the limited data we do store safe. We do not run ads or sell your personal information. We make it easy to delete your account and data history. We conduct Parent Verification on every parent through a payment card to ensure kids aren't setting up fake accounts and to ensure we are COPPA compliant.
